Katrina Kaif
Katrina Rosemary Turcotte, commonly known as Katrina Kaif, was born in British Hong Kong on 16 July 1983. Turcotte is her mother's surname. Her father's name is Mohhamed Kaif; he is a British businessman from Kashmir, India. Her mother's name is Suzanne Turcotte, an English lawyer and charity worker. Katrina has seven siblings. During her childhood, her parents got divorced. According to her, they were raised by her mother.
After Hong Kong they moved to China, then to Japan, and from Japan by boat to France, after France to Switzerland. Then some East European country, where they were only for a few months each. Then they went to Poland in Krakow, after that, to Belgium. then to Hawaii, where she won a beauty contest at the age of 14 and received her first modelling assignment in a jewellery campaign and they went to London, where she lived for three years. After that, she worked as a professional model in London, doing freelance work and frequently attending London Fashion Week. And then she moved to India.
Talking about her personal life, there was a rumours that she was in a relationship with Salman Khan in 2003. After few years of their break up, she admited that it was her first serious relationship. They have remained friends. After that she had relationship with Ranbir Kapoor. After this news became known to all, Kaif became upset, distressed and angry. Eventually they broke up.
On 9 December, 2021 Kaif married actor Vicky Kaushal in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. Their wedding pictures become the most-liked pictures on Instagram at that time in India.
Despite her language barrier, Katrina puts on a brave front and claims that past Bollywood celebrities, such as Sridevi, who did not speak Hindi, received offers from Bollywood producers, and she is no exception. In order to blend in with Bollywood culture, she has attended Hindi and dance classes. She likes to show off a photo of herself learning Kathak dancing, where she used to dance nonstop for seven hours every day. She has a kind, attractive appearance and is not easily intimidated, yet she acknowledges that she is highly sensitive, emotional, and private. Almost an incurable romantic, she detests doing her hair, hates wearing makeup, and prefers to dress comfortably and modestly while she's at home. She acknowledges that she was lonely at first but now has a number of pals with whom she can hang out.
Katrina's first film was Indian filmmaker Kaizad Gustad's film Boom (2003), which was not a commercial success. Kaif played the titular role of a princess who had to escape from her deadly guardian in the Telugu film Malliswari (2004), following the loss of her debut Bollywood effort. Malliswari was a successful business. Kaif made a brief appearance in Ram Gopal Varma's political thriller Sarkar in 2005 as Abhishek Bachchan's girlfriend.
