The early life of Arvind Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal was born on 16th August 1968, Siwani, Haryana. Born into a middle-class family, his father an electrical engineer. He completed engineering in mechanical at IIT Kharagpur (1989). Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer in 1995, quit in 2006 to fight corruption.
In the 2000s, he established an NGO, Parivartan after exposing corruptions in the public services of Delhi. Used the Right to Information (RTI) act to find scams, got the identification of a whistleblower.
In 2013, the Aam Aadmi Party won 28 seats, and Kejriwal became Chief Minister but resigned after 49 days. In 2015, Kejriwal achieved an extraordinary victory of 67 out of 70 seats, transforming education and health in Delhi.
Signature Achievements. Government schools have improved; now comparable to private ones. Free health care for poor people in Delhi. Utility prices slashed. Electricity and water bills reduced.
