PVR INOX Pictures Limited company was founded in 2002. It is a film distribution company of PVR INOX. The company owns two of the largest multiplex companies in India, PVR Cinemas and INOX Leisure. PVR Pictures was the earlier name. Now it is PVR INOX after the merger of INOX Leisure in 2023.
The company's headquarters is in Gurgaon, India. It's CEO is Kamal Gianchandani and the joint MDs are Ajay Bijli and Sanjeev Kumar Bijli. Sanjeev Kumar Bijli is the Executive Director of PVR INOX Ltd., while Ajay Bijli is the Managing Director of PVR INOX Ltd. Pravan Jain is the chairman of the company and the COO is Deepak Sharma. India and Sri Lanka are the served areas of the company.
The father of the company's owner had a trucking business,Amritsar Transport Co. and bought the Priya Cinema in Vasant Vihar in 1978, which was the origin of the company. Bijli took over the management of the cinema hall, in 1988. Then it was rebuilt in 1990 and its success led to the establishment of PVR Cinemas.
Taare Zameen Par and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na are the debut film production of PVR Pictures in 2007. More than 500 hollywood and over 200 Bollywood films are distributed like The Aviator, Mission: Impossible III, Kill Bill: Volume 1 and its sequel Volume 2, The Twilight Saga, Chicago, Ghajini, Golmaal Returns, All The Best, Don, Sarkar Raj, Omkara etc. It also distributes more than 100 regional films.
Company operates over 1650+ screens across 350+ locations in India, that helps company to reach larger and more diverse audiences.
